Whales & Waves is uniquely situated within 10 minutes drive of 9 uncrowded surf breaks. Some of these are world class and include Dirty Hippies & Northern Rights.
All of these spots are consistent and work most of the year. Drawing on our local knowledge and several years experience of surfing these breaks, we have put together a surf spot guide for West Sumbawa.
SURF WITH US
Sumbawa is recognized across the world as having some of the best surfing breaks in Indonesia for advanced and professional surfers.
However, there are surf breaks for everyone including beginners, where you can learn to surf in a safe environment. We can teach you to surf, improve your surfing skills and also guide you on the best surf locations during your stay. We provide chartered boat trips further down the West coast and also have a range of quality boards for hire.
